Downtown Public Library Senior Portraits | Madison, WI

Sydney’s parents found me in a Facebook group when I was starting out with high school senior portraits. According to her dad, “Sydney is a book worm who loves to read. She loves going to the Capital. She is an avid photographer, especially flowers, but she hates bugs and getting dirty.”

Haha, who else can totally relate to all of this? When I was younger (before cell phones), I would frequently stay up past my bedtime reading Nancy Drew novels or whatever else I was into at the time. And bugs are like Hs…totally Ew.

Ever since moving to Madison and opening up a photography business, I have wanted to shoot at the public library downtown, so I was happy to offer it up as a location for Sydney’s senior photos and even happier they all agreed to oblige. It was a little weird to shoot in such a quiet place. I definitely felt self-conscious even more so than when I’m up in front at a wedding, but Sydney was right at home and did great!
