If there's ever anyone who proves the old saying "you can't judge a book by its cover" right, it would be Maggie. My first impression of her was that she's a quiet, keep to herself, easy going type of person. But every once in awhile, she'd tell stories about wedding planning, her family, or her college days, or boldly go after her career aspirations, and I'd see a whole new side of her! When she hired me to photograph her wedding, I couldn't wait to learn even more about Maggie, and I was really curious to meet the man she was about to marry.

When I arrived at the hotel where Maggie was getting ready, she seemed quietly nervous, as I'm sure many brides can relate. But when she walked down the aisle and saw Art for the first time on her wedding day, I could see all of the jitters just disappear. He's definitely her rock; her calm in the center of any storm. For as easy going as Maggie is, she's also pretty assertive in going after what she wants, so it wasn't any surprise to me that she and Art planned a stunning day down to every last detail. Even torrential downpours couldn't damper their day. Maggie and Art definitely did a rain dance or something, because the sky cleared up for just long enough to take wedding party and family photos outside at Adam's Park after the ceremony and to take photos of the two of them at Danada House where their wedding reception was held. I loved spending time with their families during dinner, and listening to the adorably funny childhood stories Maggie's sister had to share! Maggie and Art perfectly pulled off an elaborate dance that would put any other first dance to shame, and the Standing Room Only Orchestra lived up to its name and kept the party going all night!
